I wanted to create a bottle label for a local brewery in Ayr to promote the beers that they produced. Originally my idea was to create a new label for three of there more popular beers and create some sort of advertising to promote them as well.
After researching into the brewery I discovered that 2019 would be the tenth anniversary of the first production of; Rabbies Porter, Leezie Lundie and Jolly Beggars, so I therefore decided to create a pack that would celebrate this anniversary.
Above are the original designs for Rabbies Porter, Leezie Lundie and Jolly Beggars, which were first introduced in 2009 by Ayr Brewing Company.
For the label design, I wanted to bring the beers into the modern era and as a result I focussed on typography with some added illustrations to add some celebratory visuals. The labels all take colours from the original to keep a consistency between the dates and also still makes use of the character idea to go full circle and keep some nostalgia.
As a final for this project, I created a box package that would hold the three bottles and is what would be sold in shops as a promotional limited edition pack too celebrate the tenth anniversary when it comes in 2019.
